About Sarah M Howell’s talk/workshop Learning to talk. Talking to learn.
The way our students express themselves can inform, influence, inspire and motivate others and express their empathy, understanding and creativity…and more. Through speaking and listening they develop their ideas and critical thinking skills. Research shows that students in classes where oracy skills are taught achieve higher standards across the curriculum and better results in exams.
In this part-talk part-workshop session, we shall look at practical ideas for developing oracy in the EFL class in order to offer all students the opportunity of communicating effectively using spoken language.
